Homeless Helping Hands
Matthew 22:37 - 39 NIV
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
Homeless Helping Hands is a program of Space Adventures a 501c3 not for profit. Our Goal is to be a witness and show the love of christ as instructed by Jesus in Matthew. Space Adventures was incorporated August 16, 2011. Homeless Helping Hands currently serves along side Springfield Victory Mission Men’s Shelter.
We believe that the most important thing is for these men to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. With that in mind we provide a weekly bible study for them men every Saturday to help the men break down the bible in a way that is simple easy to understand so that they can become closer to God.
Many of the men who stay at the shelter have no doctor or access to simple over the counter medications such and DayQuil, NightQuil and Cough Drops. Keeping that in mind Homeless Helping Hands has a Doctor who volunteers his time to help make sure that the men can have any medical questions answered.
We believe that it is also important that the men know that they always have someone to talk to that will sit and listen with no judgment. We take the time to hear the men and listen to what is going on and encourage them with fundemental Biblical truths that will help them in every aspect of life.
